Kwik Fit Leads UK Fleet Industry With Double Honour At Major Leasing Company's Annual Supplier Awards

Kwik Fit is celebrating after being named Service Provider of the Year at fleet leasing and business mobility solutions expert Alphabet GB Limited’s annual ‘Supplier Awards’.
The UK’s largest automotive repair company also retained the Fleet Services Provider of the Year title, was a finalist for the Innovation Award and corporate account manager Luke Penn was a finalist for the Service Excellence Award, which recognises the work of individual employees at suppliers.
Alphabet introduced the ‘Supplier Awards’ last year with Kwik Fit winning the Fleet Services Provider of the Year title.
This year, the second year of the Awards, Kwik Fit went one step further and saw off the competition from the seven other category winners to be named overall Service Provider of the Year.
Nick Brownrigg, Alphabet (GB) Limited CEO, who presented the final award, said: “Kwik Fit deservedly earned our top honour and title of Alphabet Service Provider for 2018 because the business achieved consistently excellent results across all of our criteria - whether that’s in the ‘hard numbers’ of key performance indicators, customer satisfaction and net promoter scores, or the softer aspects such as innovations delivered and their approach to the relationship. Kwik Fit was chosen for its all-round approach to partnership, collaboration, innovation and service excellence.”
Mr Brownrigg added: “The Alphabet Supplier Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of our supplier network and their dedicated employees. We simply couldn’t deliver the breadth and scale of our products and services to customers without the support of our supply partners. For many of our customers and their employees how they feel about Alphabet is determined by the service and experience they receive from suppliers acting on our behalf. We firmly believe that we can only deliver further innovations and continued service improvement in the changing world of business mobility through working collaboratively and sharing best practices within a network of supplier partners who share our passion and ethos.”
In presenting Kwik Fit with the Fleet Services Provider of the Year title, Kit Wisdom, Alphabet GB Limited’s head of technical services, said: “Fleet management services linked to the vehicle and around the customer are vitally important and often time-critical for clients - whether its breakdown, accident management, tyres or glass replacement. It’s also an area where connected car technology is playing an increasingly important role for fleets and their drivers.
“Kwik Fit won the award in 2017 but over the last 12 months has demonstrated its ability in continual improvement and appetite for innovation. From an end-user perspective, Kwik Fit has introduced new digital solutions to make the customer journey easier and has worked collaboratively with us to deliver some industry firsts, such as online tyre replacement and MoT booking.”
Alphabet, which today manages a fleet of approximately 150,000 company cars and commercial vehicles in the UK, uses Kwik Fit for services that include its tyre management platform and more recently MoT online booking and brake-related work.
The two companies enjoy a business partnership stretching over almost 20 years, and the Awards also recognised Kwik Fit’s “partnership approach” to the wide range of services provided, including the introduction of online initiatives all designed to improve fleet operating efficiencies.

“Kwik Fit’s award-winning success in delivering service excellence is due to the work ethic and skills of employees across the business including staff working in our nationwide network of more than 600 centres, and in Kwik Fit Mobile and the entire fleet department. Everyone has contributed to delivering what Alphabet and its customers require.”
Mr Fern added: “Kwik Fit continues to innovate and bring new solutions to the table, all without diverting focus away from our core strength of tyres. That is recognised by Alphabet, which itself is known for its industry-leading products and solutions. Consequently, the two companies share the same ethos, focus and teamwork and that is cemented by a relationship that extends over almost two decades.”
The ‘Supplier Awards’ took place at the MGallery Castle Hotel, Windsor, to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Alphabet’s network of service providers over the past 12 months. Hosted by Alphabet’s chief operating officer Nigel Fletcher, the Awards were the culmination of a process which began last year when nominations were sought from across the entire Alphabet business and customer base.
The nominations, which saw Alphabet’s supplier relationship management team work closely with the heads of sourcing, operations, technical service and rental, were then shortlisted and winners decided based on additional scoring criteria which included key performance indicator and satisfaction scores from Alphabet customer interactions.
